About ten years ago, I was corresponding via email with Fr. John Extejt for a short while. Fr. Extejt shared a photo of the Junction Civic Club, which was a group of men from the area who were involved in politics and civic engagement.
This is a photo taken at a dinner to honor Nicholas J. Walinski, Assistant Attorney General on January 5, 1939. Judge Walinski was the father of Nicholas J. Walinski, Jr. who was the US Federal Judge for Northern Ohio and Thaddeus “Ted” Walinski who was the vice-mayor of Toledo, a judge on the Toledo Municipal Court, and a US District Court Judge. The photo was taken by Edward Zygila, a well-known photographer at the time.
