No, you are not seeing double. Yes, there is another Władysław (Walter) Mierzejewski in my close family. This gentleman was my grandmother, Helena’s eldest brother.

Helena was born 23 April 1884 in Borowice, Mazowieckie, Poland to Stanislaus Mierzejewski and Anna Keijewska. I have not yet been able to locate her birth record in Poland; however, her husband, Walter did provide her birthdate and place of birth on his naturalization paperwork.

Some of my grandmother’s story can be found through her brothers, Władysław, Kalixty, and John. Kalixty was the third child of Stanisław and Anna Keijewska, born 27 12 December 1886 in Borowice.
Walter (Władysław) Mierzejewski
Walter was my grandfather. He was born in Tomasze, Mazowieckie, Poland 27 November 1876 per his naturalization records. He was the son of Jan and Anna Budziszszewska.
